I CAUGHT TWO TROUT YESTERDAY May 31st, 2010

"Fly fishing went flat when the cold weather set in again. I am in touch with about 17 boats up here, and I'm outfishing the fly fisherman by 4 to 1, using Lyman Lures.

I caught two trout yesterday on the LL with a 1 1/2" Lyman Lure trailing about 60' behind. Lost the black sparkle one you gave me (bad trilene knot -- I'm swearing off that knot and using the uniknot instead). Bought two more Lyman Lures. Not the same color. Color doesn't seem to matter to the fish here. The Lyman is outperforming the gold flatfish so much as to be amazing."

Marv also said that he had to spend some time tuning the plugs to get them to run true. Also he bought a few locally there and wanted the swivel with a single hook configuration like you sent me. I told him to switch to small barrel swivel directly to the screw eye and then put the siwash right onto the swivel and lose the split ring, and to use a #10 Gamakatsu siwash on a 1.5 and a #8 on a 2.0 inch plug.
