MASSIVE BULL TROUT ON LYMAN PLUG May 29th, 2012
We had been fishing the entire day, four guys, running four line and only managed to pick up one small fish. It was 20+ degree outside and we were all getting a little frustrated and ready to head back to the cabin for a few refreshment. At 5pm I told the guys to pull in the gear and I wanted to try one final place. We tied Lyman plugs on all four lines and set our gear, 20 minutes later we landed a 9lb Dolly on that #110 plug. I quickly re-set the line and changed so to have the second #110 plug out. "The bit was on" we caught and released 6-7 more fish in a 60 minute span. We had just caught a 5lber which was still in the net removing the plug, when the second rodwent off, needless to say "let the chaos begin". We released the fish from the net, pulled in all the lines &planer boards, and put the motor in neutral, after 15 minutes of great excitement George (who had just turn 60) landed a 21.5lb Dolly. This 21.5 lb is the biggest fish we've caught in the seven years fishing the lakes. Also a few more Fish pics From Jason Wheaton.
